A three-day intensive public design charrette.
Initiated at the request of the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority (IDA). The IDA acquired a 2,600-acre former research forest and desired to develop the forest with high-quality manufacturing facilities while protecting trees and adding recreational and community components. The following pages contain the report from the charrette. The report was complied by the University of Georgia’s College of Environmental Design’s Center for Community Design and Preservation
