Westside Future Fund is a nonprofit organization whose vision is to help the Historic Westside neighborhoods revitalize and develop into a community Dr. King would be proud to call home.

To restore the strength of these historic neighborhoods, Westside Future Fund is working to ensure that current residents are able to stay for generations to come. Westside Future Fund works to renovate and construct quality mixed-income housing, which helps to support families, nurture community, stimulate local businesses and attract new residents.

This property on James P. Brawley is just one such extensive renovation providing 31 new units on a previously vacant property. The landscape plans are designed to provide logical circulation flow, maximize tree canopy coverage to reduce utility bills, quality public outdoor space, and use all native and/or edible plants.

My roles involved:

• Client communication

• Tree survey and assessment

• Proposal drafting

• Landscape design and minor hardscape adjustments (hardscape provided by architect)

• Drafting and graphics

• Client presentation and invoicing
